How did OKsystem perform over the past year, and what are we focusing on in the near future? Vladimír Fuchs, our CSO, shared his insights on these topics and more in the latest special issue of CIOtrends magazine.
The ICT market is changing faster than ever. To help companies keep pace with the times, we need to stay one step ahead. In the interview, Vladimír Fuchs describes how OKsystem is transforming its services and products to reflect modern trends—ranging from the digitalization of HR processes to cybersecurity.
The interview also features a review of last year and a strategic outlook that reveals where OKsystem will be heading in the coming months.
The newly published results of the prestigious TOP 100 ICT Companies in the Czech Republic ranking prove that we are moving in the right direction and have a solid foundation to build upon.
Amidst fierce competition on the domestic market, OKsystem ranked 23rd. We see this primarily as a clear confirmation of our long-term stability and our strong position among the top 25 tech leaders in the country. For us, it is both a commitment and motivation for our future work.

Did last year meet your expectations?
We are definitely pleased with last year's results. Our long-term focus is on ensuring that our solutions genuinely help customers in their day-to-day operations—whether through process simplification, reliable operation, or the further development of their services. Last year once again confirmed that this approach is the right one. We saw continued growth across our product lines, we are delighted by the high level of client and employee satisfaction, and we also successfully completed a major acquisition. All of this was reflected in the company's highest turnover in its history. In short, last year met our expectations in multiple key areas.
What surprised you the most about the past year?
For me personally, that moment was the EXPO 2025 world exhibition in Osaka, where OKsystem was a partner of the Czech Pavilion. I was surprised not only by the sheer scale of the event and the high attendance but also by the excellent Japanese organization of the entire exhibition. Thanks to EXPO, we were able to strengthen our business relationships and build trust in our brand, not only in Japan but also in the wider Asian region. At the same time, it was a great opportunity to show that Czech technology companies are relevant partners even on an international stage.
What do you consider to be the most significant success?
In the field of custom development, we are extremely pleased with the 1st place in the main category of the Czech E-government Awards, which was won by the JENDA Client Zone of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. JENDA is a prime example of digitalization that has a direct impact on people's daily lives as well as the work of government offices. It makes applying for social benefits much easier for applicants and helps administrators process them efficiently, and we are proud to have played a major role in this success. Right from its launch, the project showed outstanding results and a high rate of adoption by applicants.
In the product area, I would like to highlight the acquisition of Scormium, the company behind the corporate learning and development platform of the same name. This step allows us to expand our services for customers both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
What are your expectations for this year?
We want to continue developing our product lines and focus on ensuring that our software continues to deliver maximum value to our customers. For Checkbot, our software tool for monitoring Yaskawa industrial robots, we plan to launch in new markets in North and South America. As for our HR system, OKbase, we want to introduce a new configuration for small and medium-sized enterprises on the Czech market, providing them with a more accessible and straightforward solution for managing their HR agenda.
An important focus will also be integrating our systems and services with the newly acquired Scormium learning platform. This will allow us to offer customers broader support in employee training, education, and development. We are also planning to expand our course offerings and introduce new training formats within our OKškolení learning center.
What do you consider the biggest risk that could threaten your business in the near future?
We systematically monitor risks and work proactively to prevent them. Our security department has been one of our fastest-growing teams in recent years, with cybersecurity being its primary (though certainly not only) agenda. Today, cybersecurity is critical not just for us, but especially for our customers whose systems we develop, operate, and support in the long term.
Another major topic is artificial intelligence. We view AI as an opportunity, but also as an area that must be approached with a high degree of responsibility. Therefore, we are actively looking into both its practical applications and its impact on the security, operation, and quality of the services we provide to our clients.
If you could change a single legislative or market restriction in the IT sector for 2026, what would it be?
Currently, the topic of the Unified Monthly Employer Reporting (JMHZ) continues to resonate strongly. For us, as a leading provider of HR software on the Czech market, a substantial part of the work took place last year, when we planned and subsequently developed the necessary components into our systems. As a result, we were fully prepared at the beginning of the year and were able to offer our customers the deployment of the new OKbase JMHZ module.
If we could change one thing, it wouldn’t be the legislation itself, but rather measures that would ensure greater preparedness among companies. Many of them only started addressing this new topic shortly before the first mandatory report this year, which increased pressure on their teams as well as on vendors. More intensive information support from the state, with a necessary or even urgent emphasis, would certainly help here. Companies would then tackle the topic much further in advance and be better prepared for the change. However, we view the JMHZ itself positively. It is another step toward the digitalization of administrative tasks, which should reduce the administrative burden on companies in the future and help build a modern and dynamic market environment in the Czech Republic.
