In August of this year, the first full payment of the State Social Assistance Benefit (DSSP in Czech)—commonly referred to as the “super benefit”—took place.
For the first time, in addition to newly submitted applications, benefits were also paid to transferred applicants—that is, people who were already receiving one of the original benefits before they were consolidated into a single benefit.
In this round, the Czech Labor Office paid out a total of nearly 274,000 benefits, of which 232,000 went to transferred applicants. Meanwhile, the regular processing of new applications continued without interruption—the transition of existing recipients to the new system thus took place in parallel with the processing of new applications.
What is the super benefit”?
The DSSP merged four previous benefits into a single benefit: the child allowance, the housing allowance, the living allowance, and the housing supplement. It took effect on October 1, 2025, and the transition period for existing recipients ended on July 31, 2026. Applications can be submitted online via the Jenda Client Zone or in person through assisted filing at a Czech Labor Office contact center.
For applicants, the main change is that instead of submitting several separate applications, they now submit a single one. For the agency, the new system means managing a single administrative process instead of four. The transition of hundreds of thousands of existing recipients to the new benefit was therefore one of the most challenging parts of the entire reform, both from a technical and organizational standpoint.
OKsystem’s role
Our company has also been involved in the development and ongoing enhancement of benefit payment systems for the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs for a long time. OKsystem’s Development and Services divisions collaborated on the August payment with teams from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Czech Labor Office.

The Jenda Client Zone, through which applicants can submit applications online, won first place in the “Egovernment The Best” competition in the Central Projects category in 2025.
